Police: Poughkeepsie Man Caught With Meth After Suspicious Vehicle Check

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie man was nabbed Saturday for possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop, police said.

Ian Woerner-Blumer, 24, was arrested by the Ulster Police Department police after they received a report around 10 a.m. of a suspicious vehicle on private property on Route 9W, police said.

When officers responded, the vehicle had left the area, but was later located in a parking lot in the Town of Saugerties, police said.

During an investigation, officers found a pipe containing methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana, police added.

Woerner-Blumer was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

He was processed and released.
