HIGHLAND, N.Y. -- State Police Bureau of Investigations in Highland charged David Tubbs, of Wallkill in the theft of equipment from a landscaping company..
According to state police, Tubbs, 27, was charged with grand larceny after an investigation found that he had taken power equipment from a landscaping company in the Highland area during the spring. The stolen equipment was valued in excess of $1,000.
Tubbs was charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony, and third-degree burglary, a class D felony.
Police said that Tubes was also charged in the burglary of a garage in the Town of Shawangunk, which occurred in June and where power tools were stolen.
Tubbs was arraigned in the Ulster Town Court and was held at Ulster County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond, said state police.
