POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Two Queens men have been charged in a burglary that prompted a scare at the Spackenkill Union Free School District Thursday, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Freddy-Yovanny Ruiz-Garcia, 35, and Syrus-Edwing Pena-Guerra, 36, were charged with second-degree burglary in connection with a home burglary on Fair Way, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Police received a burglary call at 11:53 a.m. Thursday which was followed by a "hold-in-place" at the Spackenkill district which lasted less than half an hour. Ruiz-Garcia and Pena-Guerra were arraigned in court and sent to Dutchess County Jail on $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond and are scheduled to return to Town of Poughkeepsie Court June 8, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
