DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - A 28-year-old man from Dutchess County is facing a felony charge after being busted for his second DWI in less than five years.
Shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, New York State Police troopers stopped a dodge pickup truck on Myers Corners Road in Wappingers Falls when the driver, Poughkeepsie resident Krisopher Wilson failed to maintain his lane of travel on the roadway.
During the subsequent traffic stop, troopers said that they determined Wilson was intoxicated at the time. Further investigation would reveal that Wilson had a previous DWI-related conviction dating back to 2013, police said.
Wilson was charged with a felony count of driving while intoxicated. He was issued traffic tickets, released to a sober third party and is due back in the Town of Wappinger Court on Thursday, April 20.
