Gardner was also charged with harassment in the second degree, a violation.

Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to a domestic dispute that occurred at a Town of LaGrange home on Nov. 23 at approximately 11:45 p.m., police said. Troopers interviewed Gardner, who reported that he had engaged in a verbal argument with the victim prior to her leaving the scene.

A subsequent investigation revealed that while the victim was at Gardner’s home, he discharged a round from a long gun during the dispute, according to police. He also had physical contact with the victim during the incident.

Gardner was arraigned before the Town of LaGrange Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond. He is due to return to the Town of LaGrange Court on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
