Girlfriend Charged In Murder Of 30-Year-Old Man In Town Of Poughkeepsie

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie woman was charged with second-degree murder in the death of her 30-year-old boyfriend found Thursday morning on Van Wagner Road in Arlington, according to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department.

Nicole Addimando, 29, was arrested after flagging down a patrol officer around 2:16 a.m. Thursday telling them she had been involved in an incident with her boyfriend, said Capt. Ken Roman.

Officers check on the welfare of her boyfriend, Christopher Grover, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, and found him dead at their residence, Roman said.

As a result of the preliminary investigation, Addimando was charged with felony second-degree murder.

She was remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail.

 The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is still ongoing. At this time, there is no threat to public safety as a result of this incident. 

The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, District Attorney’s Office, the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office, the New York State Police and the Arlington Fire District.
