Troopers from the Wappinger barracks were dispatched to investigate a report that Vincent J. Campolong had unlawfully contacted an unidentified person in violation of the order of protection. During the investigation, Campolong was also found to be in possession of a pickup truck that had been reported stolen in New Brunswick, N.J., earlier this month, state police said.
Campolong was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a Class D felony, and criminal contempt in the second degree.
Campolong was arraigned at the Town of Fishkill Court. He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond.
