POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Multiple departments aided in containing a vehicle fire at a recycling plant on Fulton Street in the town of Poughkeepsie on Saturday, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
The fire began when an electrical spark ignited gasoline fumes in the work area where fluids are drained from vehicles, the Journal noted.
The town of Poughkeepsie Fire Department received assistance from neighboring departments in Fairview, the city of Poughkeepsie, Arlington and Roosevelt, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal.
