Once on scene, firefighters found the two vehicles on fire and heavy smoke conditions, Johnson said.

While both cars were destroyed, but the building only received smoke and water damage, he said.

Both fire and police are investigating the cause of the fire. Johnson explained that due to the high volume of fuel and electrical items in the shop, it was difficult to tell right away what started the fire.

The department was assisted by the Arlington Fire District, Fairview Fire District, and Mobile Life Services.
