Dutchess Woman Charged With Stealing $20K From Family Member

MILLERTON, N.Y. -- A 21-year-old Millerton woman has been charged with stealing approximately $20,000 from a family member, according to state police from the Dover Plains barracks.

Tiffany M. Decker was arrested on Wednesday, May 11 and charged with grand larceny in the third degree, a Class D felony.

Troopers were dispatched to a Simmons Street home located in the Village of Millerton for a reported burglary on Tuesday, May 10. Following a detailed investigation, it was discovered that Decker had stolen approximately $20,000 from a family member who allowed her to stay at her home on several occasions.

Decker was arraigned in the Town of North East Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail I lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. She is scheduled to reappear in the North East Court on Monday, May 16.
