DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Dutchess County man was nabbed with heroin, illegal handguns, and cash, during a search of his home by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Drug Task Force.
Daivon Pryor, 22, of the City of Poughkeepsie, was arrested following the search on Thursday, Oct. 26, at his home at 257 Church St., with help from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Emergency Services Unit, said Assistant Task Force Coordinator Frank Tasciotti.
The warrant was served following an investigation into narcotics sales place at and around the home, he said.
During the search, officers found in excess of five ounces of heroin, three illegal handguns, $5,500 cash, scales, cutting agents and packaging materials, Tasciotti said.
Pryor was charged with two counts of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and two counts of felony possession of a weapon.
He is being held without bail at the Dutchess County Jail. Additional charges may be pending.
