PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. - A New York City Department of Corrections van overturned on the side of the Taconic Parkway on Monday morning, prompting an emergency response from the Putnam Valley Fire Department and New York State Police.

At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Monday morning, two officers were traveling northbound near Pudding Street exit on the Taconic Parkway when the van overturned for undisclosed reasons, requiring intervention from first responders. There were no inmates in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

According to a report, crews from the Putnam Valley Fire Department, paramedics and the New York State Police were on scene to assist the officers. No serious injuries were reported. The cause of the crash has not been released.
