POUGHKEEPSIE, N. Y. -- City officials are pledging to do everything they can to find who was responsible for the shooting death of Caval Haylett Jr., a promising Poughkeepsie High School senior and varsity basketball player, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
A Friday autopsy confirmed he was shot once in the head in the city's first shooting death of 2016. Police said he was shot at around 10 p.m., Wednesday, along Winnikee Avenue, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
