Beacon Woman Critically Injured In Crash Dies

A Beacon woman who was involved in a serious single-car crash in the Town of Plattekill has died from her injuries, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Stephanie T. Green, 36, died Tuesday at Vassar Brothers Medical Center from her injuries, the Journal said.

The crash occurred around 12:12 a.m. Saturday on westbound Route 44/55 at the intersection of Lucy Lane in the Town of Plattekill when Green, driving a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, before exiting the roadway and striking a tree, state police said.

Green was transported by Modena Fire and Rescue to Vassar Brothers Medical Center, police said.

Investigation of the accident is continuing.
