LAGRANGEVILLE, N. Y. -- Arlington High School officials are providing grief counseling to students and staff dealing with the news of senior Daniel Dangerfield's death following a one-car crash Tuesday in LaGrange, according to a Time Warner Cable News report.

Police are still investigating what caused the car he was driving to leave Freedom Road and crash into a utility pole near Frost Hill Road. Friends who knew Dangerfield raced in motocross competitions told Time Warner Cable News that they were shocked to hear about the accident.

School officials say they'll provide grief support through the end of the year. Arlington classmates say they'll miss Dangerfield's friendly presence at school, Time Warner Cable News reports.
