$2.5K Reward Offered In Fatal Beacon Shooting

BEACON, N.Y. -- In an effort to entice potential witnesses to step forward with clues in the shooting death of Scott A. Cumming, Jr., on Aug. 22, 2016, in Beacon, a reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by New York State Crime Stoppers.

Cummings, 22, was killed outside of 79 South Terrace Ave., between South Avenue and Davies Avenue, police said. 

The suspect may have been driving a dark-colored SUV, such as a Honda Pilot, police said.

Police Chief Doug Solomon said the department is working jointly with Crime Stoppers in offering the reward.
