During the three-day St. Patrick's Day crackdown, members of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department, Town of Hyde Park Police Department and Village Millerton Police Department conducted impaired driving details throughout the county in addition to their regular patrols, said Lt. Frank LaMonica Jr.
These details were funded by the Governors Traffic Safety Committee and the NYS STOP-DWI Foundation which for the fifth year in a row awarded the Dutchess County STOP-DWI Program a “Crackdown Enforcement Grant."
"This is another strong reminder that if any of your holiday “plans” don’t include a sober ride home the consequences could be severe," said Dutchess County STOP-DWI Coordinator William C. Johnson.
Those arrested includes:
- Jason Wolfhart, 21, of Wappingers Falls, DWI & BAC .08% or more, City of Poughkeepsie.
- James Williams, 32, of Maybrook, DWI & BAC .08% or more, City of Poughkeepsie.
- Mario Lopez-Perez, 46, of Poughkeepsie, DWI & BAC .08% or more, City of Poughkeepsie.
- Steven Graham, 26, of Poughkeepsie, DWI, and auto crash in the Town of LaGrange.
- David Rupert, 21, of Hyde Park, DWI & BAC 08% or more, Town of Hyde Park.
- Richard Bray, 27, of Poughkeepsie, DWI & Aggravated DWI (BAC .18% or more), the Town of Poughkeepsie.
- Bernadette Vargas, 30, of Poughkeepsie, DWI & Aggravated DWI (BAC .18% or more), the Town of Poughkeepsie.
- Philip Dunham, 34, of New Canaan, DWI, BAC .08% or more & Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, the Village of Millerton.
- Bruce Beaty, 54, of Beacon, DWAI Drugs.
- Darwin Vasquez-Recinos, 29, of Brewster, DWI & Aggravated DWI (BAC .18% or more).
- Gabriel Cruz Santiago, 40, of Poughkeepsie, DWI.
- Shane McNulty Baker, 25, of Salt Point, DWI & BAC .08% or more.
- Sunni Loverro, 49, of Wingdale, DWI & BAC .08% or more.
