POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Viola C. Robinson, of Poughkeepsie, died on March 13. She was 84.
Robinson was born on Jan. 9, 1933 in Queens, the daughter of William & Mildred Nielsen Cardno. She was employed for 22 years as a Bus Driver for the Wappingers Central School District and for five years as a Crossing Guard. She was an avid Mets fan and she also had many friends from bowling and her bus driving days.
Survivors include her sons: John R. Robinson of Verbank, Thomas Robinson of Poughkeepsie, and Matthew Robinson of San Diego. There are four grandchildren; one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
There are no Calling Hours. Services will be held at a later date and Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
