POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Thomas R. Robbins Jr., of Poughkeepsie, died Aug. 9. He was 59.
He was born Dc. 22, 1956, in Flushing, Queens. He was a music lover who played the guitar and wrote songs and poems.
He enjoyed reading the Bible and going fishing.
He is survived by his two daughters, Lyndsay Robbins of Poughkeepsie and Rachel Newman of Connecticut; son, Thomas R. Robbins III of Poughkeepsie; brother, Michael Robbins and wife, Michelle, of Livingston; "little" sister, Laurie Fauci and husband, John, of St. Augustine, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors also include the love of his life, Dorothy Robbins of Poughkeepsie.
In keeping with his family's wishes, cremation has taken place.
There will be a memorial visitation from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday at The Valley Community Church, 2260 Salt Point Turnpike, Clinton Corners. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the church.
