HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. -- Thomas Anthony Gunther, a resident of Hopewell Junction, died Friday, April 1. He was 81.
He was born on Oct. 23, 1934, in Teaneck, N.J. to Walter and Dorothea Baranca Gunther.
He was employed as a Tool and Die Maker at IBM in East Fishkill for 25 years until his retirement in 1993. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church.
He is survived by his wife Lydia Spertal; daughters and their husbands, Jude and Brian Flint; Alida and Christopher Fenton; daughter-in-law, Christine Gunther; grandchildren, Tyler, Lacey, Casey, Max, Thomas, Devon and Tess; and his sister, Alice Gunther.
He was predeceased by his son Timothy T. Gunther.
