WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. — Stephen J. Posta, 82, of Wappingers Falls, died Monday, Oct. 31.
He was born Sept. 3, 1934, in Yonkers, the son of Stephen and Susan Posta.
He was a former resident of Wappingers Falls.
Posta was last employed at IBM in Poughkeepsie, and formerly was with General Motors in Tarrytown. He was a member of S.W. Johnson Engine Co.#2 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-55 aboard the USS Irwin DD-794. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and horseshoes. He also boxed in the Golden Gloves.
Surviving are his children, Stephen J. Posta and Shannon, Audra Posta Brown and companion Vinnie Gentile, Daniel J. Posta Sr. and Dawn and Susan M. Marino and John; grandchildren, Jessica, Daniel, Daniel Jr., Angela and Nova Marino.
He was predeceased by a sister, Marion LaMoglia.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Delehanty Funeral Home, 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls. Services will be conducted during the visitation.
