POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Stephen A. Fasciani, a resident of Poughkeepsie and Schroon Lake, died Tuesday, June 7. He was 81.

Born Nov. 20, 1934, in Wappingers Falls, he was the son of the late Antonio and Clara Didonetti Fasciani.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1952-55. He worked for 30 years as a correction officer at Green Haven Correctional and Downstate Correctional Facility as a sergeant, retiring in 1989.

He is survived by his wife Ruth; sons William Johnson of Poughkeepsie, Kevin Johnson of New York City and Wayne Johnson of Hyde Park; daughter Cathleen Esposito of Poughquag.; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four sisters.

Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the William G. Miller and Son Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church in Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wappingers Falls.
