Rose 'Tootie' Facchiano, 80, Wappingers Falls Resident

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Rose "Tootie" Facchiano -- a Wappingers Falls resident, formerly of Rockland County and the Bronx -- died on Wednesday, March 16. She was 80.

Born in the Bronx, Facchiano worked as a bookkeeper her entire life. Her hobbies included reading, baking, knitting, music and dancing. She was also an avid Yankees fan.

She is survived by her children, Laura Stinziano and her husband John of Fishkill, Susan Giordano of Florida, and Joseph Facchiano of Fishkill; grandchildren Dana Newton and her husband James, Christina Anselmo and her husband Justin, Michael Cherubini, Brandon Facchiano, Brett Facchiano, Kaila Facchiano, Christopher Stinziano, and Kyle Facchiano; great-grandchildren Kailey and James; brother Joseph Friscia of Las Vegas; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Facchiano was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Facchiano; parents Dominick and Ellen (Walsh) Friscia; and son-in-law Anthony Giordano.

Visiting hours will be from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, 1089 Main Street, in Fishkill. A mass will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson St., in Fishkill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice Foundation.
