Ronald D. Miller, 65, Of Beacon

BEACON, N.Y. – Ronald D. Miller, a longtime resident of Beacon, died Wednesday, March 2. He was 65.

Miller served in the U.S. Army from 1969-72. He worked for Metro-North Railroad as a yardmaster at Croton-Harmon for 39 years. He was a member of the Hudson Valley Umpires Association. He also coached and umpired for the town of Fishkill Little League.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Miller of Beacon; his children, Eric B. Miller and his wife, Tina of Hopewell Junction; Henry A. Miller and his wife, Brandy of Middleton, Idaho; and Patti J. Edwards and her husband, Richard of Middletown; his grandchildren, Shelby, Katelynn, JD, Devin, Michele, Darwin, Connor, Maxwell, Madison, Samantha, Jared, Skylar and Summer; his brother, George H. Miller of Kansas City; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Cheryl Waite; and his sister, Lois L. Fish

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
