LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. – Rick Forsythe, a resident of LaGrangeville, died Saturday, June 4. He was 56.
Born June 29, 1959, in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Ralph and Ruth Downie.
He was a machinist at Macro Tool and most recently a starter at the James Baird Golf Course. He enjoyed the game of golf. He also enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, dirt bikes, NASCAR and target shooting. He was in many different bands throughout the years and was known as an excellent bass guitar player.
He is survived by his wife Christine Forsythe; brother Ralph Forsythe and his wife Toni of Hopewell Junction; nephew Scott and wife Kristin of Poughkeepsie; niece Katie Forsythe of Boston, Mass.; brothers-in-law John Manna of Stormville and Robert Manna and wife Ann of South Carolina; and nieces and nephews Jeffrey, John, Lynne, Jillian, Katie and Jody Manna.
There will be a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Fishkill Rural Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
