POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Patricia M. Simmons, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, Nov. 12, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
A lifelong resident, she was born March 2, 1940, in Poughkeepsie, to the late William and Helen O'Hara.
She attended St. Mary's School and was a member of Holy Trinity Church. She worked in food service for Vassar College. She enjoyed bingo, playing the lottery and making trips to the casinos. She also enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Danielle Simmons and their children Corey and Cierra Simmons; and siblings, Vera Harris and Bob O'Hara.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Bill O'Hara, Alvin O'Hara, Helen O'Hara, MaryAnn O'Hara, Theresa Bacon, Betty Decheck and Deloris Wynant.
Calling hours will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Calvary Cemetery.
