Mildred C. Tancredi, 99, Of Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Mildred C. Tancredi, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, April 19. She was 99.

She was born on Oct.19,1916, in Poughkeepsie to Pasquale and Julietta Furlong Tancredi.

For many years, she lived and worked in Queens, N.Y., before retiring to Poughkeepsie to be near her family.

She is survived by her five grandchildren, Michael Tancredi of Beacon, Terri-Ann McElhoney of Beacon, Kathleen Melilli of Wilmington, N.C., Brandon Tancredi of Denver, Colo., and Erica Martin of Erie, Colo.; and her eight great- grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Tancredi; her daughter-in-law, Alice Tancredi; and her brother, Antonio Tancredi.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 22, from 9-10 a.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow St., Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 11 Mount Carmel Place, Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.

Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Peter T. and Patrick J. Halvey.
