Michele J. Boykin, 70, Of Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Michele J. Boykin, 70, of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, Oct. 9.

Boykin was born April 20, 1946 in Poughkeepsie, the daughter of the late Michael and the late Florence (Fortino) Ferri. She was a local resident all her life.

She was employed by Dupont in Poughkeepsie and also was employed by Man Power. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She loved to travel and her favorite place to go was Atlantic City. She also enjoyed bingo.

She is survived by her husband, Ray A. Boykin; daughters, Kimberly Williams and her husband Russell, April Boykin; son, Robert Pottenburgh; six grandchildren, Meaghan Perri, Robert Wubbenhurst, Katherine Stewart, Chaise Williams, Kye Williams and Adrienne Daniels; two great-grandchildren, Lilliana and Brodie Stagias; brother, Michael Ferri; and sister, Barbara Miller and her husband Nicholis.

Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. There will be a prayer service during the visitation at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
