WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Mary E. McDonald, a lifelong resident of Wappingers Falls, died Monday, March 7. She was 84.

She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and graduated from Wappingers Central School. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. She worked for Central Hudson, Marine Midland Bank, Mid-Hudson Savings Bank and retired from Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union in 1994.

She is survived by her children, Bill McDonald and his wife, Mary; Mary McDonald and her partner, Joe Steiniger; Barbara McDonald; Jennifer Valenti; Anne O’Neill and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Karen, Brendan, Sarah, Erin, Patrick, Sean and Ryan. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard Laffin and his wife, Anne; and Gerald Laffin and his wife, Rosann; sister-in-law, Melva Lffin; aunt, Betty Riley; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Peter McDonald and brother, Morris Laffin.
