POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Madeline M. Robinson, 77, of Poughkeepsie, died Oct. 9.
She was born Aug. 8, 1939 in Bud, W.Va. to the late John Banks and Medina B. Head.
She worked 32 years for the Department of Transportation in Poughkeepsie, and was a watercolor artist.
Survivors include a dear friend, Paul Elfienpen; her children, Robert E. Robinson, Freddrick L. Robinson, Shamel J. Whitted and Diamond Robinson-Popo; children she raised as her own, Arsenior Thompson , Clarissa Banks Whitaker and Ray Banks; siblings, Ray Banks (Kathy), Thurman Banks (Marilyn), John Banks Jr., Sherman Head (Cindy), Nina Head, Elizabeth Head, Dorothy Lane and Dorothea Head; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Cora D. Robinson; granddaughter, Kyley M. Pender; and brother, Robert D. Banks.
Visitation will be on from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Gabriel’s House of Restoration Worship Center, 249 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Apostle Jacqueline Thomas-Harrison officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery 171 Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie.
