Originally from the Bronx, she married Theodore Bacon and relocated to the Hudson Valley in 1970. She worked hard in the mortgage and real estate business for many years while she raised three children. She loved her family, friends, Italian food, music, and dancing.
A yearlong battle with cancer led her to the Rosary Hill Home, where she spent her final months surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by her son Dean; her daughter Kimberly (and husband Guillermo); her son Ted; her many grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law Carlo and Rae Rella, as well as her beloved niece, Nancy Rella-Brodesser. She is also survived by a large extended family of relatives, friends, and neighbors.
Services have been held. The family has requested that instead of flowers and cards, please make a donation in her honor to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532, http://www.rosaryhillhome.org.
