Lea Cavalea Wallace, 86, Of Hopewell Junction

HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. -- Lea Cavalea Wallace, a resident of Hopewell Junction, died Friday, Jan. 22. She was 86.

Wallace was employed as a technician at United Hospital in Port Chester and then by the Wappingers Central School District at Fishkill Plains Elementary School. She was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. She had been a professional dancer and was an artist.

She is survived by her daughter, Moi LaBounty and her husband, Ed; her granddaughter, Gillian Versace; her sisters, Vera Cacioppo and Alba Purdy and her husband, Tracey; her sister-in-law, Gail Giancinto; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Wallace; and her brother, Josh Giancinto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 103 Jackson St., Fishkill.

Memorial donations may be made to Love Holds Life and mailed c/o McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc., 1089 Main St., Fishkill, NY 12524.
