POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- John C. Bahret of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, March 16. He was 61.
Bahret was born in Poughkeepsie, Nov. 10, 1955 to Jean and John H. Bahret, Jr. He was employed by the Office of Children's and Family Services in Spring Valley as a Senior Administrator. He previously worked for Holy Cross Pius and The Division for Youth in Highland.
Bahret is survived by his mother, Jean D. Bahret of Poughkeepsie; his sons, Nicholas G. and Alex G. Bahret, and a daughter, Lena J. Bahret, all of Poughkeepsie.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 22 at Sweet's Funeral Home on Route 9 in Hyde Park. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 at the Calvary Chapel of the Hudson Valley, 36 Firemans Way, Poughkeepsie.
