Jamie Donald Barnard, 50, Poughquag Resident

POUGHQUAG, N.Y. – Jamie Donald Barnard, of Poughquag, died Sunday, June 19. He was 50.

Born April 15, 1966, in Poughkeepsie, to Albert and Jeanine (Belanger) Barnard, he was a professional carpenter, woodworker and craftsman. He enjoyed hunting, Pink Floyd and David Gilmore. He was an avid Oakland Raiders and New York Rangers fan and played ice hockey himself.

He is survived by his parents, Albert and Jeanine, of Poughkeepsie; his son, Jamie II and daughter, Kayla Jean, both of Holmes; his wife, Laurette, also of Holmes; two brothers, Daniel (Karen) of Newburgh and Alan of Poughkeepsie; two sisters, Carole Barnard of Poughkeepsie and Debbie Kelly of Pleasant Valley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and David.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Horn & Thomes Inc. Funeral Home, 83 E. Main St., Pawling. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
