POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- George R. Amrhein, of Poughkeepsie, died on March 3. He was 77.
Amrhein was born in Manhattan on March 5, 1940 to Anna and George Amrhein. He grew up in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. He attended Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Manhattan College. After serving as a Sergeant in the army he began his career as an account. He was an avid Mets and Giants fan and greatly enjoyed the antics of his cats, Max and Daisy.
He is survived by his wife Adele, his loving daughters Erica and Jennifer of Nyack, his sons-in law, Frank DeLalla and Neil McLaughlin, his grandchildren Julia, Frank and Rose DeLalla.
Funeral services will be private.
