Frederick G. Van Bolhuis, 73, Of Wappingers Falls

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Frederick G. Van Bolhuis, a resident of Wappingers Falls, died Sunday, Feb.14. He was 73.

He was a National Guard reservist for over 20 years and was a previous member of the Wappingers Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus. He was employed in the banking industry for many years and retired as a mortgage loan officer for Key Bank.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Pinckney Van Bolhuis; his children, Kristen Niclaus and her husband Eric and Kerrie Van Bolhuis; five grandchildren, Brooke Niclaus, Megan Cutinella, Jenna Rogers, Jackie Rogersand Johnny Rogers; a sister, Bonnie Nielsen; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter Hailey Niclaus.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. at the Zion Episcopal Church, 12 Saterlee Place, Wappingers Falls.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to supporting childhood cancer research at Hope and Heroes or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
