Former Marine Justin M. Malkemus, 27, Of Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Justin M. Malkemus, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Wednesday, July 6. He was 27.

Born March 3,1989, in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of Gary Malkemus and Karen M. Wilson.

He served in the Marine Corps and was a student at Dutchess Community College. He was a member of the Veterans Club at Dutchess Community College. He was a local resident all his life and was a graduate of Arlington High School, class of 2009.

He is survived by his father Gary Malkemus of LaGrange; his mother Karen M. Wilson of Wappingers; sister and brother in-law Katelyn and Owen Humphress of Indianola; his grandparents, Robert and Marion Wilson of Poughquag, N.Y.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his cousin, Lauren Sena.

Funeral services and burial were private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to in Justin's name to help Veterans with PTSD to VA Hospital Castle Point, 41 Castle Point Rd., Wappingers N.Y. 12590.
