FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Dina Marca Scecchitano, 55, of Fishkill, died Sept. 28.
She was born July 31, 1961 in Brooklyn, the daughter of Conrad and Josephine (Sorrentino) Tossava.
She graduated from Marlboro High School, SUNY Cortland and SUNY New Paltz. She worked as the director for reaping the harvest at St. Mary’s Church in Marlboro, and as a crime victims’ counselor for Ulster County. She then worked with her husband in their family business as the bookkeeper for Fishkill Roofing & Siding Co.
She was a devoted parishioner of St. Columba Church and a member of the Columbiettes of St. Mary’s Council, Knights of Columbus. She had been leaders for both the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She also enjoyed skiing and dancing, and always planned amazing family parties, picnics and holiday gatherings.
She is survived by her husband, Dominic Scecchitano; four children, Carina, Ariana, Dominic and Nicholas; sisters, Tara Marquis and her husband Tim and Jenna Orsley; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Dee and Bob Fleming and Richard and Angela DiNapoli.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
