WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- David Langlais, of Wappingers Falls, died on Friday, March 31. He was 54.
Langlais was born in New York City on May 15, 1962 and grew up in the Hell’s Kitchen section of Manhattan. His family later relocated to Flushing, Queens.
Langlais moved to Dutchess County in 1989. For many years, he worked as a building supervisor as a member of the Service Employees International Union, Local 32BJ. He enjoyed spending time fishing and golfing.
He is survived by two daughters, Colleen Langlais of Hopewell Junction and Taylor Langlais of Long Beach, his mother, Marié (Morizur) Langlais of Fishkill; his brother, Pascal Langlais of New Jersey; his sister, Ghislaine Langlais of Fishkill; his former wife & friend, Patti Langlais of Astoria, Queens.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Foundation for Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Pl., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
