SOUTHWEST DUTCHESS, N.Y. -- Pughkeepsie resident David I. Garcia died Friday, Jan. 8. He was 44.
Garcia was employed as an HVAC tech with APA Heating and Cooling in Brewster.
Born Feb. 12, 1971, in the Bronx, he was the son of Jesse Garcia of Delaware and Aileen Colon of White Plains. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church. He enjoyed fly fishing and golfing, and was extremely creative and artistic, designing crafts with his son that were given as gifts.
On April 1, 1996 in Stony Point, he married Sharon Grant, who survives at home. He also is survived by his son, Grant Garcia; his sisters, Catherine Chagnon and her husband Daniel, and Alyssa Garcia; his nieces Isabelle, Sophia and Ava; and a large extended family and many friends.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
