Bryan Dengler Of Poughkeepsie, Accomplished Golfer, Dies At 36

Bryan F. Dengler of Poughkeepsie died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, Jan. 31. He was  36.

Born on June 20, 1981 in Rhinebeck, he was the son of Renee’ L. Lutz of Staatsburg.

Bryan had many interests. He was an accomplished artist (particularly oil painting), and he enjoyed writing poetry, carpentry, and he loved to cook.

A phenomenal golfer, Bryan was proud to have once made a hole-in-one at College Hill.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by girlfriend, Kristina Otero, and her daughter, Angelina, both of Poughkeepsie; his sister, Christine Marie Lutz, of Hyde Park; brother, Theodore T. Lutz, Jr., of Hyde Park; aunt, Dodie Sherman (Wes Eaton), of Elizaville; uncle, Richard Dengler (Jeanine), of Catskill; uncle, Brian Dengler, of Ravena, NY; several nieces and nephews: Owen and Claire Lutz, Genevieve Faucher, Aileen McLaughlin, and Jolene and Anthony Dalbo, Jr.; and many cousins.

He was also close with his girlfriend’s mother, Karen LaMonica, of Hyde Park.

Calling hours will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at Sweet’s Funeral Home, Route 9 in Hyde Park.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
