POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Brian Robert Walsh, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, April 7. He was 50.

He was born April 7,1966, in Poughkeepsie to Vincent and Theresa Bunten Walsh.

He was a graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park. A longtime local resident, he worked in construction with several local contractors before moving to Florida about two years ago.

He is survived by his parents Vincent and Theresa; brother Vincent J. Walsh of Hyde Park; sister Cynthia T. Montanino of Clinton Corners; nieces Jessica, Rebecca and Gabriel; nephews Stephen, David and Clayton; great-nephew Emmett; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother Stephen M. Walsh.

Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
