Barbara A. Armond, 70, Wappingers Falls Resident

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Barbara A. Armond, of Wappingers Falls, died Sunday, March 13. She was 70.

She was born May 11, 1945, in Denham Springs, La., the daughter of Clifton Armond and Lula Smith. She graduated from Denham Springs High School in 1963. She resided locally since 1963, and was employed as a caregiver at Cardinal Hayes Home in Millbrook. She retired in 2010. She enjoyed tag sales.

She is survived by best friend and partner, Anthony Nenni, of Wappingers Falls; a brother, Ernest Armond; sisters, Edith Gath and Patsy Sims Wallner; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Lidell Perkins, Hubert Armond and Aaron Armond; and a sister, Gladys Sanders.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Delehanty Funeral Home, 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, 11 Clinton St., Wappingers Falls. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
