POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — April M. Scrivani, of Poughkeepsie, died Monday, Nov. 28. She was 70.
She was born April 30, 1946, in Sharon, Conn., to the late Russell O'Dell and Alice F. Bailey O'Dell.
She worked in retail most of her life. She enjoyed working with people. Prior to her recent employment as a cashier at Walmart in Fishkill for 9½ years, she loved helping shoppers design their homes at Montgomery Ward. She enjoyed spending time with her family for family get-togethers, parties and barbecuing by a pool. She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Scrivani; sisters, Phyllis L. Roger and companion John Boland, Julie E. Biktjorn, Priscilla A. Cole and Alice (Lynn) M. Van Vliet and husband Elmer; children, Shelley L. Booth, Carrie L. Koch and husband Joseph, Leonard M. O'Dell and companion Betty Jo Miller, Kristin D. O'Dell, Ronalda (Randi) E. Cole and Nikko R.L. Scrivani and his companion Deborah (Doobie) Cortes; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Tracey L. Van Vliet.
Services will be private.
