Anthony Oswain, 32, Arlington HS Graduate, Restaurant Group Manager

Anthony Seppe Oswain, a native of Sleepy Hollow and a former resident of Wappingers Falls, died suddenly on April 30 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. He was 32.

"Tony," who was living in Long Island City, was to be married to his longtime sweetheart, Joanna King, at a luxurious resort in Cancun, Mexico in January, 2018. Over the years, he had risen from a restaurant server to general manager of Manhattan's TAO Downtown, one of the top-grossing restaurants in the United States. Revered and well-respected, Tony looked forward to a promising future with the TAO Group, a leading restaurant and nightlife company.

Born July 25, 1984, he was the son of Robert "Yankee Bob" Oswain, a former Westchester County corrections officer, and Rosalie "Ro" Seppe Oswain, a fitness trainer at Gold's Gym in Fishkill and LaGrange. He is a graduate of Arlington High School in LaGrange and attended Dutchess Community College.

In addition to his parents, Tony is survived by his fiancée, Joanna King; his sister, Roxanne Oswain; nephew, Dominic Oswain; aunts, Phyllis Seppe and Belle Garafola; uncle, Peter M. Garafola; and cousins, Chris Garafola and Melissa Garafola. A doting uncle and godfather to 4-year-old Dominic, he loved to shower him with "Star Wars" toys.

Calling hours were held on Thursday, May 4 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., in Hopewell Junction and a Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, May 5 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.
