POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Anthony Facchiano, of Poughkeepsie and formerly of the Bronx, died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday, Dec. 23. He was 85.
Facchiano was born in the Bronx on April 18, 1930 to Luigi and Gulia (nee Ferraro) Facchiano, serving in the Army during the Korean War.
After his service, he spent 25 years as a postal clerk before retiring in 1989.
Facchiano was predeceased by his parents, five siblings, Mary Rizzo, Angelo, Jimmy, Suzie Finelli and Millie; and son-in-law Anthony Giordano.
He is survived by his wife Rose (nee Friscia), daughter Laura Stinziano and her husband John of Fishkill; daughter Susan Giordano of Florida; son Joseph of Fishkill; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister Maggie Palmero; brother Ralph, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill handled arrangements.
