Alice M. Casale, 85, Of Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Alice M. Casale, of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, Nov. 22. She was 85.

The daughter of the late Arthur and Alice Harvey, she was born July 6, 1931, in New York City. 

She worked in dentistry for 23 years, retiring from Dr. Josias' office in Poughkeepsie. 

She was a very active member of Zion Episcopal Church in Wappingers Falls since 1958. Through the church, she had many lifelong friends and the church became an extension of her family. She was a bronzed life member of the Bridge Association. She was a world traveler and loved taking trips. She was a former driver for the American Cancer Society and also was an usher at the Bardavon in Poughkeepsie.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Brewer and her husband Buster and Jill Sessler and her husband Scott; grandchildren, Christopher Miccio and his wife Tina, Brandon Tarquini and Connor Tarquini; and great-grandchildren, Ariana, Jarrett and Ashley.

The family will receive their friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday during the visitation with Mother Deborah Magdalene officiating. Interment will be Saturday at All Faiths Cemetery in Middle Village.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Episcopal Church, 12 Satterlee Place, Wappingers Falls.
