Time Warner Cable is alerting more than 320,000 of its customers to change their email passwords because their data may have been stolen, according to multiple sources.
The company said it had recently been told by the FBI that "some of our customers' email addresses, including account passwords, may have been compromised," reported Syracuse.com.
The company said that it had not determined how the breach occurred, said Syracuse.com.
Customers nationwide can change their passwords by going to http://twc.com/emailpassword and following the instructions, reported Syracuse.com.
