Two police officers were injured when a stolen flatbed truck fleeing from Northern New Jersey hit their vehicles in Ramapo on Route 59 in Rockland County late Monday morning, according to multiple reports.

The truck was stolen from Bergen Brookside Auto Body & Towing in Hackensack, according to CBS New York, and traveled up Route 17 with numerous police cars in pursuit. The shop's owner told CBS New York he believes the flatbed was stolen around midnight. They were able to track it down through a GPS device.

An East Rutherford police car accidentally got hooked onto the flatbed’s rear bumper on Route 59 on the Ramapo/Suffern border, ending the chase, CBS New York report. The flatbed also hit a Ramapo police car, according to the report.

The alleged thief was charged with driving a stolen vehicle, assault on a police officer and several driving violations, according to lohud.com.
