AMENIA, N.Y. -- A large fundraising event for local veterans later this month in Amenia, will include a visit by Robert Trump, the brother of president-elect Donald Trump, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Trump will join New York Yankees team president Randy Levine and Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro for “Patriots and Ponies,” a special event to raise funds to bring equine-based psychotherapy to veterans, the Journal said.

Scheduled for Jan. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the event will be held at Monte’s Local Kitchen & Tap Room in Amenia, which is owned by Robert Trump's fiancee, the Journal added.

The equine program allows veterans to work with therapy ponies as part of their therapy as part of a collaboration between the Hudson Valley Hero Project and Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue, said the Journal.

Molinaro, Levine, and Robert Trump will be on-hand for several activities during the fundraiser. Events slated to take place include live music, food and a visit from a therapy pony, and Patriot the dog, the Journal reported.

Tickets to the event are $75 each or $100 for two. To purchase tickets, click here.
